Description
Sara Fredrickson is a typical, friendly IT girl living in Chicago, Il. She has blonde hair with two chunks of black on the right side and a silver streak on the left. When asked about her color choices, she will always respond, "Yes, no, maybe." Her eyes are a light green and she stands about 5'6".
She works at USRobotics (which was recently acquired by Cisco) in nearby Schaumberg testing modem reliability and performance. After work hours, she logs on with her more well-known name, Sik282, and works with other Virtual Adepts to cripple advancing threats, both mundane and magickal.
Background
Sara was born in Boston to Ralph and Bonnie Fredrickson. Her mother was a nurse practitioner, and her father was a skilled impersonator/comedian. He states the happiest day of his life was when he taught his 6 year old daughter to do George Carlin (much to the dismay of Bonnie). She has two older brothers, Scott and Matthew.
Sara awoke while trying to fix a friend's computer that had gone on the fritz. Her avatar appeared in the form of a Windows-hating Windows dialog box and told her she knew full well how to fix the computer. When a simple Unix command prompt appeared, she typed in "Fix Computer." The monitor lit back up and her friend's computer still works perfectly to this day. She started taking computer classes in high school and went to a community college in Chicago to get her technician's certifications. She met her mentor, Steven Barnes, in her Large Business Networking class. He informed her she was a mage and began to teach her Mage Computing 547 during his office hours. As she met more Virtual Adepts, she began to build a network of her own, all the while continuing with her training. She started working at the same community college until Barnes got her a job interview with USRobotics.
She knows the proper terms for very few technological parts and devices, as different people refer to some things by different names. She prefers to simply describe what they are, such as calling a thumb/flash drive "portable memory". This has prompted her coworkers to refer to her simply as "Girl."
Paradigm
Her driving goal in life and Ascension is Occam's Razor. She believes in finding and executing the simplest command. Everything else is redundant code and therefore unnecessarily complicated.
