True to her pedagogue nature, or perhaps due to watching too many after-school programs from the '90's, Yvonne really does believe that knowledge is power. She views the world as a giant mathematical logic problem to be read, observed, analyzed, and figured out. By educating sleepers and teaching them to use their environment as a tool for solving problems, she believes that one day, everyone can see that reality is a pattern of patterns. She also feels that everyone is entitled to their own Walden Pond. | True to her pedagogue nature, or perhaps due to watching too many after-school programs from the '90's, Yvonne really does believe that knowledge is power. Description
A self-described "nerd-for-life", Yvonne Lunair is a Hermetic mage who specializes in entropy and forces. The door to her room in the chantry house is identified by a Joker and a Queen of Hearts taped to it, as these cards basically sum her up. When she's not changing the resident Cultist's marijuana plant into a tomato vine, she's usually in the chantry library translating classic literary works, studying steganography, or working on cryptography problems. Her favorite movie is Darren Aronofsky's π.
Yvonne is a regular at local and regional poker tournaments, and sometimes travels back to the States to play and visit her father.
She loves Nutri-grain bars and anything from a coffee bean.

Background
Yvonne came from a modest background, having been raised by her car-mechanic father since she was 12. She was born in Phoenix and graduated at the top of her class, knowing six languages fluently and the highest-ranked math student. She began her college career at UCLA, double-majoring in English and mathematics, with hopes of becoming a influential professor. After a few friends from her Contemporary English Literature class introduced her to the leisurely pasttime of poker, she discovered what she thought was a natural talent. She began playing poker online and entering a few local tournaments, and was soon invited to tourneys in different states. After accruing a generous amount of winnings, she decided to leave UCLA and become a professional poker player. She continued to collaborate with her statistics professor on scholarly journal articles via e-mail correspondence, and attributed her poker successes to her strong affinity for recognizing probabilities and patterns.
Paradigm
True to her pedagogue nature, or perhaps due to watching too many after-school programs from the '90's, Yvonne really does believe that knowledge is power. She views the world as a giant mathematical logic problem to be read, observed, analyzed, and figured out. By educating sleepers and teaching them to use their environment as a tool for solving problems, she believes that one day, everyone can see that reality is a pattern of patterns. She also feels that everyone is entitled to their own Walden Pond.
