Description
Tony Morgan stood about 5'8, and wieghed about 185 pounds. Tony was clean shaven, with short, brown hair and dark brown eyes. Tony was quite proud to have been born and raised in Chicago. When he wasn't wearing his suits, Tony would often wore Chicago Cubs attire, showing his support for his favorite baseball team.
At one point, Tony Morgan had a talisman tattoo of an Angel on his back. When activated, wings would manifest on Tony's back, a ray of holy light would engulf Tony, and a sword would appear in his hand, leading to the nick name of 'Angel Boy' by some of his fellow cabal mates. Tony would no longer require this talisman sword when he began to wield Fidelacchius. This talisman tattoo would later be destroyed during a fight with a Nephandi, but would be reconstructed by Tony after becoming a Prime Adept. Towards the end of Tony's life, after a major tragedy befell the Chorester, Tony used his Prime magic to destroy this talisman as a sign of his loss of faith, and the pain of the loss of his friend, Jonathan Swak.
Along with the tattoo, Tony also had an upside down cross burned into his chest from his encounter with the Demon. In adddition to that scar, he also had a Spade that was burned into the center of his chest, with 'sacrafice' inscribed underneath the brand, which occured in a paradox realm. Tony's avatar expressed itself to him as an Angel.
Background
Tony Morgan grew up in a strong, Catholic family. He attended mass regularly at St. Michael's Cathedral, and attended Catholic school from kindergarten all the way through High School. At the age of 16, while he was receiving the sacrament of Confirmation in St. Michael's Cathedral, Tony awakened. Father Gabriel Summers became Tony's first mentor, and guided him into the tradition of the Celestial Chorus. Tony went on to a local college, and became an accountant. He would later own his own accounting firm.
Other Side of Hades
Eventually, Father Summers asked Tony to work with another local chantry in town that ran a night club, called the Other Side of Hades. He would soon become a cabal member of the Other Side of Hades, while still working closely with St. Michael's Cathedral. Tony used his background as an accountant to make sure that financially, everything ran smoothly for the night club. Ownership of the club, at least on paper, was eventually changed over to Tony Morgan for him to oversee.
It was during that time when working with the Other Side of Hades that Tony Morgan met a man named Michael Carpenter. Michael Carpenter, another member of the Celestial Chorus, became a Knight of the Cross, and would wield one of three holy swords, his being Amoracchius, a broad sword. Tony Morgan would soon follow in his footsteps, wielding the holy sword known as Fidelacchius following a raid on a Nephandi caul. The Knight of the Cross who originally wielded Fidelacchius had been captured by the Nephandi, and at the request of Persephone, the cabal went to rescue the Knight. Unfortunately, by the time the cabal reached the Knight, he had already been evisorated by the Nephandi, and the sword had been captured. When the Chantry caught up with the Nephandi responsible and defeated him, the sword chose Tony as the new Knight of the Cross. Tony Morgan and Michael Carpenter would become close friends while serving as Knights of the Cross.
War and Wisdom
When the Other Side of Hades' night club was burned to the ground by Technocrats working with a corrupted spirit, the Hades Knights soon acquired a Chicago hotel originally named the Blackstone Hotel. Shortly after this, the name of the chantry was changed to War and Wisdom. Tony Morgan would become the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) for the War and Wisdom hotel/chantry. Although there were many somber and difficult times for Tony during this time, including almost leaving War and Wisdom due to a couple of his his cabal mates' deception over the demonic coins that they took possession of, there were also some very pleasant experiences as well. Tony, on a few occaisons, hooked up with Mariana of Balador, the Seat of Time. Tony was one of the few, if only, member of the Celestial Chorus to visit Balador.
As a Knight of the Cross at War and Wisdom, Tony's mentor changed from Father Summers to Father Anthony Forthill. During Tony's time at War and Wisdom, the Vatican became in danger of being overrun by the Nephandi and the Black Church. Tony opposed the Nephandi as best as he could using his title as a Knight of the Cross, starting with a local Cardinal by the name of Cardinal Benavidez. Cardinal Benavidez met with Tony Morgan and claimed that he was unworthy of wielding Fidelaccius, and threatened to bring him to Rome to face a tribunal. When the Cardinal returned to Rome after Pope Benedict XVI died, under unusual circumstances, Tony had a vision and realized that allowing the Nephandi to control the Vatican would lead to destruction of the Chorus, and the beginning of a Tradition civil war.
And so, Tony Morgan lead the chantry, War and Wisdom, to the Vatican itself to try prevent the Nephandi from appointing one of their own as the new pope, and to also help rescue his good friend Michael Carpenter who had been captured by the Nephandi. During this time, Cardinal Benavidez had been named the new pope, but was promptly assassinated. Tony Morgan looked to another Cardinal who promised to save the Vatican. His name was Cardinal Rogers, who would later become known as Pope Peter VII. Unfortunately, Tony Morgan's efforts proved less than effective, as the Vatican still fell to the Nephandi under Pope Peter VII's rule, as it had been Cardinal Rogers behind the scenes all along, pulling the strings in the Black Church. At present time, the Vatican is still currently under the Nephandi control. However, thanks to Tony's efforts as well as efforts made by Nathan Summerset, a Verbena and another member of War and Wisdom, the Chorus and the Verbena were able to overcome their historical conflicts, and were able to come together to oppose the Black Church on that day.
For a time, when Tony Morgan thought that the Black Church threat had been foiled, he worked with Pope Peter VII, serving as his emissary in Chicago, and who was put in charge of the members of the Chorus who were present in Chicago. It was only when the Vatican asked Tony to take out so-called rogue Choresters that the allegations made by the Vatican were proved to be false, that Tony began to suspect the Vatican may still be corrupt. In order to resolve the questions surrounding the Black Church, Tony prayed a novena for clarity, and to know who was behind the Black Church. It was at this time that it was revealed to Tony that the new Pope was in fact a Nephandi orchestrating this deception. Coincidently, at the same time, as Tony Morgan was praying, his magic allowed for a ley line tributary to intersect with the War and Wisdom chantry, creating one of the largest nodes in North America.
Tony Morgan would soon establish an alliance with those other Choresters that the Vatican had declared to be heretics and blasphemers; those belonging to the Lord's Church, a very contemporary church. Tony Morgan never suspected until it was too late that the talisman given to him by Pope Peter VII was in fact a reforged demon coin. When he accepted the lapel pin, it transferred to him a shadow of a demonic entity, a shadow of a particularly dangerous demonic entity. Unfortunately, the shadow did not immediately make its presence known to Tony Morgan. Instead, it hid itself, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
Tony Morgan would experience a life shattering confrontation against the Nephandi known as Monsignor O'Donnell in his accounting firm that he owned and operated. Tony Morgan asked his associate and friend, Jonathan Swak to help him confront and capture the Nephandi, unaware that they were in fact being led into a well orchastrated trap. As a result of the brutal attack, Tony Morgan was left with a shadow of a demon in his mind; was forced to witness the murder of his friend, Jonathan at the hand of the Nephandi, and was forced to endure a hellish version of stigmata, as well as living through the demon's memories of hell. As a result of the attack, Tony lost the will to fight the Nephandi, and lost Fidelacchius to them. Although he was slowly making progress after this assault, Tony never fully recovered from the psychological wounds. Left without his primary weapon, Tony worked on constructing a katana talisman, a katana that had an Aim Good/Dodge Good rote built into it, as well as a Rip the Man Body rote. Tony began to work on this when War and Wisdom held a Council of Nine meeting in its basement. At that time, Tony met with the Seat of Prime, who, to his dismay, told him that the traditions essentially had to ignore the Black Church in favor of fighting the Technocracy, which had gone on the Offensive and had dissimated several of the traditions.
Shortly after his encounter with the Seat of Prime, Tony would go with his Chantry to try to recover Byte and Persephone, the former Deacon of the Other Side of Hades chantry. It was during this battle that a corrupted, Nephandic being obliterated Tony Morgan. Tony's cabal mates after the incident saw the archangel Michael rescuing Tony's soul from the corrupted creature as it was destroyed. In order to honor Tony's memory and to prevent Fidelaccious from becoming a sword of darkness, the War and Wisdom chantry pursued the Nephandi and recovered Fidelacchius. As of recently, the sword remains with Hope and Faith, awaiting a new Knight to wield it.
