Description
Laurie Navarro is a 28 year old freelance special events consultant based out of Portland, OR and currently working in Las Vegas.
Background
Laurie awoke while on a time-trip to the first Woodstock with her Cultist uncle, John B. Goode. As both her parents were sleepers, her uncle saw her early love of music in combination with her imminent mageness and decided to take her under his wing. He advised against telling her parents, stating, "Well, see, your mom's, well, she's what we call a square. Sorry, kid. And your dad just wouldn't understand. They don't even know I'm a mage." Laurie dropped out of high school when her band, The Shifty Eye, started to book regular shows in Oregon, Washington, and California. She was both the drummer and manager for the band. They broke up in 2003 as the vocalist got married and had twins. Laurie decided to use her knowledge of managing and planning to manage other bands and soon, she started booking shows for larger venues. Her knack for bringing the right group to the right place at the right time brought not only record crowds and ticket sales, but also netted her recognition from famous performers and coordinators (Radiohead won't play in the US unless Laurie is fronting the operation).
Paradigm
Taken off of her professional website: "Planning takes time, which happens to be my specialty." She believes that spontaneity is something to be carefully orchestrated, then switched at the last minute. This is also how she sees the path to Ascension occurring, in conjunction with the global embodiment of the rave scene's acronym PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect).
