The Black Church's primary chantry at this time seems to be the Vatican in Rome. However, with its control of the Vatican, the Nephandi have access to all Catholic Churchs, as well as any business or charity that is tied in with the Church, including hospitals, nursing homes, domestic and homeless shelters, parochial schools (elementary, junior high, high school and university level schools), or any type of Catholic charity.
Description
Around the time of the Renaissance, a conspiracy began. A conspiracy to throw the Catholic Church into darkness. Much is not known about the exact conspirators themselves. What is known is that the conspiracy started with Friar Giovanni Rosa, around the year 1420. In present day, it has succeeded in taking over the Vatican, and has spread throughout the Catholic Church and its many public ministries.
The Black Church is currently being led (publically, at least) by Poper Peter VII. It has made efforts to try to obtain the swords of the Knights of the Cross. The Black Church succeeded in capturing Fidelacchius, but lost it when War and Wisdom came to recover it. The Black Church also managed to capture Michael Carpenter, another of the Knights of the Cross, but failed to get him to relent his sword.
Very recently, the Black Church succeeded in freeing four of Hell's Generals to earth, including its battle tactician, Azmodias. The consquences of such actions have yet to be fully felt by the Traditions.
History
A Technocratic incursion into one of its own constructs revealed that the Nephandi have not limited themselves to the Vatican and the Catholic Church. The incursion, led by Mr. Abe Williams, revealed a systematic take over of the Technocracy by Nephandi. This take over has reached as a high as a Sub-Admiral for the Void Engineers. However, data retrieved from the Construct indicate the Nephandi have plants throughout the Technocratic Union in its various conventions (Syndicates, New World Order, Iteration X, etc).
Currently those Technocrats involved in that raid, along with prisoners from that compound that were freed, have sought asylum with the Sons of Ether.
