Description
As all the members met under circumstances that were too "random" to be chance, they felt destiny must have led them to be where they are. They decided on calling the cabal the "Treehouse Club" as they always end up living on the upper floors of buildings and have a tendency to induct members if they meet two criteria: they have been with them more than two weeks and they have not tried to cause trouble.
History
Tannery House was purchased as a residence by Yvonne and Eddie after it was made obvious to them that London (the city) had need of their presence. Not long after, London (the Cultist) joined their ranks. After fighting off a suspected Nephandi agent, the cabal began investigating a rash of disappearances. Their search led to the discovery of the Nightside, an umbral plane consisting of London's subconscious. They apprehended the Nightside slave trader who was abducting Londoners and selling them to Nightsiders and killed him. What they did not know was the slave trader was also the one responsible for running the Nightside. They were made the governing body of the Nightside by default. After setting up a chain of command and operations, they returned to London.
Not long after, London (the Cultist) was suddenly pulled away to Balador. However, Fate filled the occupancy with Porter and the group quickly integrated him into their cabal. Soon after that, a Technocratic raid hit London and in an attempt to help the cabal escape, Alfredo tried to pull the group into the umbra. He failed and the cabal ended up in a musical marauder's quiet. After fighting their way through her songs (the last being "House of the Rising Sun"), the group found themselves in New Orleans, safe in the House of the Rising Sun chantry. After talking with the members, Damien Allen sent the cabal to New York City, as London had become unsafe for mage society.
Because Yvonne had purchased a loft in New York during her time there, the cabal moved in. After they had unpacked and settled in, Fate led Matt Kennedy to their door. With the help of Matt and a pooka, the group was able to stop another series of disappearances, this time with children being the targets. When Matt tried to leave, his car would not start and Fate kept him with the group. Later that week, the group went to see a concert by a Chorister at the behest of Yvonne. During the performance, a spiritual struggle erupted between the Angel of Death and a Nephandi soul harvester over an old man who was attacked by the Nephandi. Yvonne removed the Nephandic necklace the old man was wearing and took it with her. With the Chorister in tow, the group began to devise a way to enter the umbra to investigate. Since Alfredo was the only one able to pull people into the umbra, the group decided to ask the fae at FAO Schwartz to grant them passage to the Dreaming. Once there, the necklace began exerting control over Yvonne and the others were forced to fight her until the effect was broken. Aided by the Angel of Death, they were able to defeat the Nephandi agent.
About a month later, the cabal finally named themselves the Treehouse Club and inducted Matt into the group. He requested that he be able to leave if called by Fate, and the others fully agreed to the terms. An invitation to a Halloween masquerade party held by the House of the Rising Sun was delivered to the cabal the same day, so the cabal boarded a plane for Baton Rouge. They were joined by Cartney Brenn, who had also received an invitation after being officially (but not unofficially) kicked out of her chantry house. Before they arrived in New Orleans, Matt and Eddie took advantage of a drunk Porter and Yvonne by positioning them in a suggestive position after they passed out. To retaliate, Porter and Yvonne made a deal with a leprechaun to drop Matt and Eddie's pants every hour during the party. This plan was thwarted by Damien Allen.
